Arglen C. Blankenbaker, born 7/31/1937, in DeRidder, LA at home to parents Hazel Whitaker Carroll and Harry Carroll. Mrs. Blankenbaker was a housewife and of the Baptist faith. She married the love of her life on May 8,1954 in Newton, Texas.
She was preceded by her Son, James Edward Blankenbaker; Brother : Claude Butch Carroll; Sister :Mamie Teston, Aimee Joyce Fox, Betty Ann Fontenot.
Arlen is survived by: Husband: Edward Blankenbaker; Daughter and Son-in-law Cynthia and Danny Cassels of Rosepine; Son and Daughter – in-law John and Rosie Blankenbaker of Rosepine, and son, Jody Blankenbaker of Mesquite, Texas. 11 Grand kids and 10 great grand kids, 1 great- great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews. Brothers: David Carroll, Dolphy Carroll, Donald Ray Carroll, Bruce Carroll; Sisters: Joann Mabini, Maxine Alexander and Jean Coker.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 3, 2011 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 4, 2011 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Service will be held on Monday, September 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hixson Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Arlen Smith will be officiating. Burial will be in the Old Cypress Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder.
