Msgt. Barry Hurst was born March 1st, 1940 in Montclair, New Jersey to Joseph Hurst and Doris O'Neal (both deceased). He departed this world on May 23rd, 2019 at home surrounded by his immediate family.
He is survived by his only brother, Joseph Hurst (Carolyn) and sister, Ivie Gray. He graduated from East Orange High School the summer of 1958. He joined the Air Force that summer.
Having achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. He retired after 22 years of distinguished service having seen most of the world and three tours of Vietnam.
He married Edna F. (Logan) Hurst on July 2, 1972. The union lasted nearly 47 years.
During their many years together they traveled, took cruises and visited many places. Often accompanied by Kimberlee and grandchildren
a 44 year resident of Las Vegas, Nevada he enjoyed both gambling, live shows and dining out. He is survived by his 4 adult children, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren as well as a host of family and friends.
Mostly a man of few words with a quiet demeanor, we'll miss him, but will remember all of the good times in his presence.
