I wish I could be with you all for hugs, laughs, tears and remembrances! As one of the older nieces I had the pleasure of many memories of Uncle Christy; from riding along to pick him up from a long late shift at Crucible Steel, to watching him do woodworking, gardening, cooking clam chowder, and loving his family. He was loved by many generations. Hugs and prayers to you all!

I had the privilege of sharing a room with Christy last summer at McHarrie Place while recovering from hip surgery. He kept myself and the staff entertained with his great harmonica tunes, and we had many conversations about families, he was most proud of the artwork made for him by his grandchildren. Christy was a true gentleman and I am proud to have had the opportunity to have known him

I met Christy when my brother-in-law, Dick Grover, shared a room with him at McHarrie Place last year.
Christy was one of the sweetest men I've ever met and we've mentioned him in conversation numerous times.
I'm sorry to hear of his passing and my deepest sympathy goes out to his family. Christy will be fondly remembered and will be in my prayers.

Len and family please except our sincere sympathy, we are so sorry to hear that your dad's harmonica has gone silent,it was such a joy to listen to him play.We enjoyed the pictures you included and so noticed the resemblance to Chris [your son] to the one with your dad with the pipe. You all were so blessed to have had such a great man in your lives for so long. God Bless !

May his memory be eternal....it will be life lasting for us. He was an inspiration to so many on how to live an honorable, loving and caring life. When asked the secret to a long life, Mr. Sauro would reply..."keep breathing"! and he will in his new life with his wife and others that left before him. Greg & Nancy Abdo
