Jessie Mata Barcinas was called home by our heavenly Father at the age of 62 years.
Jessie was born in Merizo, Guam to the late Inigo and Martina Barcinas.
He proudly served in the United States Army for 21 years and retired in 1986 as MSGT. Tour of duties include Vietnam, Germany, Louisiana and California. He started his second career with the Department of Defense in Monterey. CA and retired after 20 years of service.
Jessie was a member of the St. Jude's Church and Shrine, loved spending time with his family and had a very special relationship with his grandchildern. In his spare time he enjoyed a round of golf with his buddies and card games.
Jessie is predeceased by his father and mother-in-law Platon and Rita R. Enaligo; sister, Josefina Tainatongo; in-laws, Jose T. Mantanona, Roy S. Taijeron, Antonio David Reyes, Platon R. Enaligo, and Larry R. Enaligo; nephews, Roy Taijeron, Jr. and Jose (Rocky) T Mantanona, Jr.
He will be greatly missed and remembered in the hearts of his loving wife of 42 years, Dorothy Reyes Barcinas; children, spouse and grandchildre, Jesse and Mia (Jenalyn), Scott, Danny, Ivan and Bonnie (Joshua and Gabriella), Lourdes (Analaya and Keon) and Anthony and Maile (Kekoa); sisters, brother and in-laws, Marie Mantanona, Carmen Taijeron, Edward and Pom Barcinas and Manuela and Johnny Naputi; in-laws Frank and Rosemarie Aguon, Joseph R. Enaligo, James and Darlene Enaligo, Jerry and Margaret Enaligo, Rosario Champaco, and Ronald and Laurie Rapanot. He will be also missed by numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Rosary is being prayed nightly at the Barcinas family residence in Marina, CA at 7:00 p.m. until Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Last respects will be held on Thursday, December 17,2009 at Mission Mortuary, 450 Camino El Estero, Monterey from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. , with Rosary prayer at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Jude's Church and Shrine, 303 Hillcrest Ave., Marina and burial services will follow at San Carlos Cemetery, 792 Fremont St., Monterey.
The Barcinas Family would like to give their hearfelt thnaks and appreciation to the Magallanes Residential Home, the Windsor Ridge Skilled Nursing FAcility and the Visting Nurse Association and Hospice for their loving and devoted care of our beloved Jessie.
