Pauline Adams was born to W.J. and Eva Blanche (Gilbert) McCoin on February 7, 1926 in Holdenville, OK. She went to school at Moss, east of Holdenville. She joined the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps in 1943 and did some time in the Army. She was very proud of being a WAACs veteran and that all of her children were veterans as well. Later she moved to Oakland, CA where she met and married James T. Cotton, a marine, back from Iwo Jima. From this union two children were born to them. Many years later she married Clarence Bengle and three children were born into that marriage. In 1973, she married Herbert Adams and he passed in 1992. Pauline worked at several clubs and eating places, including the Shawnee Country Club for many years. In later years, she spent time playing dominoes and cards at the Senior Citizens Center and with family and friends at her home. She was also attended Church of Christ and dedicated a lot of her time to community work. She is survived by 2 sons, Curtis Eagles and Paul Bengle; 1 daughter, Pamela Pritchard; 4 granddaughters and 1 grandson; 1 great grandson and 2 great granddaughters and 1 brother, Marvin McCoin. She is preceded in death by her sons, Dwight and Larry Cotton; a grandson, Ryan Cotton and 1 great grandson, Colton Royal.
