Perry L Bell Sr. "Papa" went to be with the Lord on Dec. 6, 2013 at the age of 86 years. Visitation was held on Monday. Dec. 9, 2013 at Goetz Funeral Home from 5-8 pm. Funeral services were on Tuesday Dec. 10 at 2 pm also at Goetz Funeral Home with the interment at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with military honors were presented by the United States Navy Honor Guard.

Perry was born on August 11, 1927 in Leesville, TX to O.A. and Annie Bell. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 63 years Lucille Bell "Nanny", daughter Nelda Jean and son Perry Lynn Jr., grandson Jonathan Allen Beicker, brothers Clifford, Jack and David Bell, and his sisters Dorothy Moseley and Doris Bell.

He is survived by daughters: Nancy and her husband Jimmy Bush, Barbara and her husband Jeff Beicker, Shirley and her husband Robert Owen. Grandchildren: Tracy and her husband Jackie Mayfield, Waylon and his wife Cassie Bell, Wendy and her husband Kevin Rhea, Jason Beicker, Jennifer and Eric Schulze and 11 great-grandchildren; McKayla, McKenzie and McKade Mayfield, Perry, Raylee, Sawyer and Luke Bell, Ethan and Kaitlyn Rhea and Garrett and Colby Schulze; siblings; Pete Bell, Wayne Bell, Vernon Bell and Fay DuBose, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He served at the end of WWII with the United States Navy. Perry ran his own welding shop, B and W Welding, for many years; he also was a foreman for the Guadalupe County Road and Bridge Department- Precinct 1 until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, which he passed down to all of his family members.

He was a loving Christian husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and loyal friend. Perry "Papa" was loved and cherished by many and will be greatly missed.

Serving as pallbearers were Waylon Bell, Jason Beicker, Jackie Mayfield, Kevin Rhea, Chris Herbold and Eric Schulze.
