Ralph Andrew Even entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Monday, September 30, 2013 at the age of 67. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Slidell, LA. He attended Warren Easton High School where he met and later married his high school sweet heart, Marion L. Bennett. He was brilliant minded for anything mechanical and there was nothing he couldn't fix. He learned to rebuild car engines and race them in his teenage years. He started his career as an auto mechanic when he was drafted into the United States Army. He served in Vietnam in the 101st Airborne Infantry and was Honorably Discharged. He loved the outdoors and could never get enough of fishing and hunting. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and always cheered-on the New Orleans Saints. He is the loving father of three children, Mark A. Even(Amy J. Even, spouse), Angie E. Thompson (Jason W. Thompson, spouse) and Matthew J. Even. He has four beloved grandchildren, Sara Even, Nicholas Even, Brandon Even, and Benjamin Even, with a grandson-to-be, Ryan Thompson. He is also survived by his sister Diane E. Sifert (William B. Sifert Jr., spouse) and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley W. Even, and his father, Andrew F. Even. Family and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 910 Cross Gates Blvd. in Slidell, LA on Saturday, October 5, 2013. Visitation begins at 10:00 am with a short Catholic Service to follow at 11:00 am.
