Suzanne Jane Hansen age 70, of Wascott, Wisconsin passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN, surrounded by her family.
Sue was born June 8, 1941 in Watseka, Illinois to the late Leo & Dorothy (Danforth) Poulson.
She married Clay on April 22, 1961 at the United Methodist Church in Palmyra, WI; they celebrated 50 years of marriage together.
Sue was a member of the Red Hat's and a member, past treasurer of the Gordon Presbyterian Church. Sue was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Suzanne loved Christmas; she made it special for her family with sledding, a bonfire, and amazing mashed potatoes and gravy! And of course her good sense of humor that touched everyone that she met. Sue was a member of the Fire Hill Women's Golf League; part of her golf strategy was making the women in her foursome laugh.
Among those who survive and gratefully shared her life is her husband Clayton of Wascott, WI; her children: Lisa (Charles) Heindl of Madison, WI; Dana (James) Knudtson of Stoughton, WI; Tracy (Stanley) Sadenwasser of South Range, WI: seven grandchildren: Ashley (Austin) Bishop, Kyle Heindl, Tyler (special friend Whitney) Knudtson, Aaron Knudtson, Lexie Knudtson, Zachary Sadenwasser, Makenna Sadenwasser: brother: Dan (Jean) Poulson of Palmyra, WI: Aunt Thelma Shaw of Watseka, IL.
She is preceded in death by her sister: Carolyn Lawrence.
A Celebration of her life will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church in Gordon, WI. Pastor Richard Blood will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the church.
Memorials may be directed to the Presbyterian Youth Camp Fund.
