 Alicia T. Alvarez, age 86, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 in Kingsville. She was born June 11, 1925 in Kingsville to Tomas Trevino and Gabriela Meza Trevino. Mrs. Alvarez was a professional baker specializing in wedding cakes. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.



 She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesus G. Alvarez.



 Mrs. Alvarez is survived by one son, Mark A. Alvarez of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; one sister, Magdalena Moreno of Covina, California; and three grandchildren, Mark Alvarez II, Andrew Alvarez and Michael Alvarez.



 Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2012 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Kingsville, with Fr. Peter Thenan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.



 Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
