It doesn't seem like it has been 8 years. Time surely moves forward. I know this greeting and honor of Ben comes a bit delayed but I know that his absence here on Earth is still a sadness that is being dealt with although it may be a bit easier with the passage of time. I recently lost three of my cousins within 2 months. Two of which I was very close too. One so likened to a brother and twin - we were 6 months apart and raised by our grandmom and went to school together. He went to heaven on February 4, 2019. I realized that God's word says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord and as we know Emmanuel - God is with us in our hearts and therefore, I have come to realize so are our loved ones which brings me comfort in knowing that they are always with us. I pray that brings you comfort and that you have hope and can trust in God that you will see him and other loved ones again face to face. Shalom and grace as you move ahead and I pray that all of you are well. All the best, AnG

Dear Ben, I alway enjoyed the countless times I stood next to you and watched a good band. Your love for music, your smile and laughter made those nights even more fun. Your great sense of humor and out look on life rubbed off on those around you. You will be missed by many. Rest in Peace my friend.

Ben was an amazing friend to me and probably one of the smartest, most unique guys I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I'm sorry we lost touch with each after I moved from New Orleans ten years ago; but for what it's worth I still constantly tell the stories of great times we had over the years. Goodbye, Ben and thank you for being a part of my life.

To Ben's family,
I've only been working at NSU for a few months, but I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Ben. He always had a smile on his face and a cup of coffee in his hand. I'm very sorry for your loss and I send my condolences. He will be missed greatly by the NSU Student Union family.

Dear Margaret,Alex, Alex III, Tony, Jennifer and loving nephew and nieces of Ben, we were heart broken to hear the passing of your beloved son, brother and uncle. We immediately started praying for Ben's soul because I remember the priest that came to see Grandpa when he passed, he said that his soul was still lingering and needed our prayers. We will continue to keep Ben in our prayers and also pray that God, through Jesus Christ, with his boundless mercy, will bring all of you comfort as you go through this.
Your Sister, sister-in-law, and aunt, please give all the kids a big kiss from me, I need a picture of Sophia Ann please.

Ben, you were a big brother to me when I truly needed one; you were a friend when I needed one more; You were a better friend than most in that every memory I have of you is one of you with a grin on your face. That is something I will carry on till I see you on the other side.

"God looked around his garden and found an empty place
He then looked down upon the Earth and saw your tired face
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest
With the help of his angels they flew you to your heavenly place
Gods garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best
He knew you were suffering, he knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never get well on Earth again
He saw the road was getting rough and the hills too hard to climb
He closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be Thine"
It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone
For part of us went with you the day God called you home"
R.I.P Ben. It was a pleasure getting to know you. We'll miss you buddy.

Dear Ben,
The Soul departed in the Lord does not die, it return to God, who is the Giver of Life. Goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life and you will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

What moves through us in silence, a quite sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say Good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautivul to forget. All those humorous moments and laughter that you instilled on every body how can one forget that. . . You are in my prayers and blessed be the day you were born and blessed be the day God called you to his Kingdom.
