I keep thinking that we will all wake up from this nightmare. I don't think you ever really knew just how much you meant to our family and how much we loved you. With my moms recent stay in the hospital you really helped me get through it. I was so scared and you gave me hope, comfort and love. Even with your own struggle you lifted the spirits of others. You are more than a friend to us...you are family! Sometimes I still check my phone to see if I have gotten any messages from you. When the tears start coming down I remember your beautiful smile and that amazing voice. We will always love you!

Gone But Not Forgotten

The times we've shared have been full of joy.
The memories we've made will go on and on.
I haven't stopped crying since you went away,
and I've asked God time and time why couldn't you stay.
You lit up my life, my hopes, and my dreams.
You've opened my eyes to see what it all means.
So now that you're gone how can I forget;
Because you were the greatest out of all I have met.

Love You Nana

Inevitably, the time has come in which I must accept that we must say goodbye, yet, I can't get you out of my mind. I understand that it's okay to hurt and it's okay to cry, but letting go of someone so dear is not an easy thing to do. I keep thinking about how much I admired you....how good you looked during my last visit with you, how much I loved our talks and hearing you laugh and your big smile. I'm going to miss these things, but above all, I am going to miss your friendship. I realize we can't share these things anymore, but I will forever remember them because it is small moments such as my visits with you which make life grand. Memories never die and you will always hold a special place in my heart. Mucho amor para la familia Alaniz.
