You kids were blessed with dynamic parents who always made an impact on those around them. James Alford did so much for the City of Port Wentworth through the Jaycees and participating in the Stand Up For America Day parades. I'm thinking that heaven's a happy place with so many of Port Wentworth's movers and shakers there.
I'm truly sorry for your loss. There's so much of him in all of you that should help comfort you in the days ahead. Just wait until you see James' personality pop out in the grands and great-grands.

I know first hand how profound a loss it is when you realize the he will no longer be there for all the events in your life.
I will always have fond memories of Uncle Jim from all the great memories of camping and fishing in Meter, water sking on the lake, family gatherings, and the best oyster roast and fish fry's in the low country.
