BIDDISCOMBE, JOAN CATHERINE, 77 of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on November 20, 2009.
She was born in the Bronx, New York to Francis and Catherine Dolan Butler. After college, she went on to become a successful Real Estate Agent she married her beloved husband of 50 years, John Biddiscombe. While married, with three children and working, she still found time for other activities.
As a young adult, she sang with the New York City Choir and continued to be trained as a classical opera singer. With 16 years of selling real estate, she still found time to volunteer with Hospice in Vienna, Virginia for ten years and then again with Hospice in Melbourne Beach, Florida for an additional three years.
She is survived by her beloved husband, John, children, David (Margaret) Biddiscombe, Sean (Gloria) Biddiscombe, and Suzanne Biddiscombe, grandchildren, Alexandra, Ryan, Dillon and Brianna Biddiscombe and her sister, Theresa (Frank) McGowan.
Visitation services on Monday, November 23, 2009 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapel, 2305 W. Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 9:30am at St.Ambrose Catholic Church, 380 S. Federal Highway, Deerfield Beach, Florida
The family denotes Vitas Hospice for memorial donations. Arrangements under the direction of Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapel in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
