Ludie Dorrough, New Albany
Ludie Clite Dorrough, age 82, died Monday, August 30, 2010 at NMMC in Tupelo. She was a member of Fredonia Baptist Church, where she enjoyed participating in the senior adults group, and a retired employee of Irwin B. Schwabe in Ecru.
Services will be at 2 PM Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Ecru with Rev. Joe Herndon and Dr. Chris Aldridge officiating, burial will follow in the Warren Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Ecru is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her three sisters: Edith Ilene Whitehead of Ingomar, MS, Jeanette Jones of New Albany, MS and Bernice Miller of Oxford, MS; a special brother-in-law: Bob Bailey of Ingomar, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: John Arthur Dorrough and Eunice Graham Dorrough; three sisters; Fairy Marie Dorrough, Eula Mae Short and Ruth Bailey and two brothers: James Theron Dorrough and Junior Dorrough.
Pallbearers will be: Andy Kirk, Adam Kirk, Ricky Kirk, Ray Smith, Jason Weeden, Justin Weeden, Richard Byrd and Melvin Dorrough.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday and from 12 to 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
