Mary Tingle Obituary

Mary Ann Tingle, 75, of Fairfield, and previously of Texas, a retired teacher, died of natural causes Thursday at a Choteau nursing home.

Her memorial service is 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fairfield. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Funeral Home.

Survivors include her sisters, Patricia Gjerde of Fairfield, Celia Burk of Fargo, N.D., and Ruth Anderson of Crosby, Minn.

Mary Ann was born Sept. 22, 1934, in Aitkin, Minn. She received her Bachelor of Education degree and taught in North Dakota and Texas before recently moving to Choteau to be close to her sister.

Mary Ann enjoyed traveling, and lived in Norway for a year.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Tingle, in 1993, and her sister, Alice Neva.
