Richard will be greatly missed,Joey and I are deeply saddened. We will continue to keep his spirit alive as we remember how much he loved life. Arianne, when he found you at Dance class, he told us he fell in love at first site, and we were proud to see you both get married, then be blessed with Will. He brought Joy and happiness with a smile that said it all. The fond memories of the times we had with him and his great family that he shared with us, Christmas festival here in Natchitoches, boating on Cane River, tailgating at NSU McNeese games, bondfires and parting at the marina and great talks on Keyser ave, will keep us close to him. God bless you and godspeed on your new journey Richard, We love you all. Joey and Ruth Prudhomme

Richard was such a great grade school friend. Though I didn't get the chance to see him much after high school, I see he became a great husband and father. My thoughts and prayers are with the Zaunbrecher family.

I didn't know Richard well but when I think of him I remember how he was such a great guest at his sister's wedding and his little boy dancing with his mother. They were so much fun to watch. I am so sorry I won't have a chance to know him better. I feel for all of you and I pray that his memory will keep you until you meet him again.

Richard was more than a co-worker, he was a friend. What I'll remember about Richard:
? His infectious smile
? Can do, positive attitude
? His intellectual curiosity
? That guilty look he had when he played a joke or a prank. Like someone who swallowed the canary.
? Tailgating at LSU games (many times, more fun than the games)
? Attending his wedding to Arianne. I often reminded Richard that he married several pay grades up when he found Arianne.
? Him showing up to my flooded home after Hurricane Katrina with that big smile, boom box, and rolled up sleeves to give me hand to begin getting my life back in order.
? How much Will reminds me of Richard. He's fidgety, bouncy, and full of energy.
? Fishing (even though we didn't catch a lot of fish). Him, Arianne and a friend showing up at my boat dock in Slidell for a crawfish boil.
? His cooking.
? The great Cochon de lait at Le Bas's house to send Steve Taylor back to the UK.
? His quick wit and humor. His one liners.
? His bombardment of emails of how LSU was going to once again win the national championship and slaughter every team along the way. In particular his bombardment to Alan Power of how LSU would crush Auburn.
? I will miss his generosity. With his home, his family, his time, whatever was needed.
? I will miss his constant questioning. Our chats about life. Our shared interest to be better human beings on this planet.
? I will miss knowing that Richard is there as a friend. A friend you didn't have to check on or contact frequently but a friend that you knew would be there in a time of need. No matter how convenient or not.
Will miss you Z, Dan Flynn

Our thoughts and prayers are with Arianne and Will at this time. Richard is already missed. His smile, his enthusiasm and his love of family were contagious.

Although physically absent here, he is now in a much better place.

I hope our Lord is an LSU Tiger fan, if not, He will be soon.
