Obituary Notice
Robert Charles Little, 86, of Union City, passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at Bickford Cottage in Battle Creek. He was born June 7, 1925 in Union City to Pem E. and Winifred Ruth (Matson) Little. He lived most of his life in the Union City area.
Bob enlisted in the U. S. Navy at the age of 18. He was the maintenance foreman for Clark Equipment where he worked for 30+ years.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Barbara, children; Susan (Andy) Strupulis, Bruce Little, Nancy Mitchell, step-children; Douglas (Diane) Voshell, Gary (Robin) Voshell, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, sisters; Joyce Baumeister, Beverly "Peg" Emmel and a brother; Gary (Verna) Little. Robert was preceded in death by his wife; Mary Lou, infant son, Brian C. Little, his parents and a sister, Janet.
Bob was a dedicated member of several Fraternal Organizations; 33rd Degree Mason, Life member of the Athens Masonic Lodge, Life member of Coldwater OES, Life member of Bedford OES, member of Knights Templar and Saladin Shrine's Battle Creek Club, where he participated in the "Mini-T" Patrol Parade Unit for 30 years. Robert was a member of the Marshall Moose Lodge and a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Visitation will be Monday, March 12, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Putnam Funeral Home in Union City. A Masonic service by Bedford and Athens Lodges will take place at
7:30 p.m.
Services will be Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Lon Bouma officiating. There will also be an OES service following the funeral service. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Union City.
