Rose Ann Bohmke, age 90, passed away March 9, 2012. Rose was born March 17th, 1921 in her grandparent's home to the late Michael and Martha (Romnek) Smolinski. On December 28th, 1950, she married her devoted husband of 61 years, Thomas H. Bohmke. Together they had two children: Thomas R. and Patricia. Rose was a dedicated homemaker who considered her children to be her greatest blessing. Rose was devoted to the Blessed Mother the Virgin Mary. Rose was always concerned about the poor (like she was when growing up during the Great Depression), the sick and especially the elderly. She worried about her grandchildren and prayed for them always. Rose was a lifelong member of St. John Catholic Church in Menasha. She attended school there as a child, where she began her talent in writing poetry.

Rose is lovingly survived by her husband, Tom Bohmke of Menasha; son, Thomas (Patti) Bohmke of New Richmond, WI; daughter, Patricia (James) Gellerman of Winter Haven, FL; grandchildren: Breanna, Tyler and Erika Bohmke, David Lemke, Paul Lemke; great-grandchildren: Samantha, Brandon and Matias Lemke; sisters: Dorothy Schomisch and Martha (Howard) Rohde and sisters-in-law: Audrey Smolinski, Betty Smolinski and Betty Lou Smolinski. Rose is further survived by her good friends, Buggs and Ann Moran, whom Rose golfed with all over Wisconsin for many years.
