Ruth Arnold Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 26, 2012.

ARNOLD Ruth, R. (nee Fromm) 84 of Webster Groves on June 25, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Stanford M. Arnold; loving mother of Beverly (Jack) Thompson and Cheryl (Michael) Moder; dear grandmother of Julie (Ryan Linderman) Moder and David Moder and the late Brian Moder. dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Ruth was a strong woman who fought a hard battle with breast cancer for the last 17 years. She worked for McGraw-Hill Publishers as one of the first college text telemarketers in the 1970's, and was a member of their 25 year club. She was a dedicated member of the St. Louis Jazz Club for the last 37 years and served as membership chair for many of those years. She is a recipient of the Louie Award presented by the Club. A determined woman who lived her life fully she always said "Don't live your life looking in the rear view mirror, always look forward" Another life philosophy she believed is "pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again" She did in both instances.

My childhood friends, Bev and Cheryl...
I am so sorry to learn of your mom passing. It brings a whole flood of childhood memories. I could say she was one of my, or should I say OUR 5 or 6 moms on Dunkirk! Today we would be decorating our bikes in preparation for our 4th of July street party. What wonderful and special times! We did go through alot together and your mom was one of the strongest.
My best to you and Cheryl....
It's time for the Dunkirk parents to celebrate... The swim flag is out, our dads are lighting the grills and our moms have finished the food preparation and are getting their swimsuits on!
Be forever in PEACE, Ruth. Your have waited a long time to see your love, Stan. xoxo

To my Grandma Ruthie:
May you rest in peace. You were always such a great role model. You taught me the importance of family, to focus on the positives in life, and to work hard to achieve my goals. I would not be the same person I am today without having you as my hero. You will be missed forever. I love you.
