STEPHANIE J. GARDINER
Stephanie Jacqueline Gardiner, age 92, passed away peacefully at her home in Long Beach on January 26, 2013. Stephanie was born on March 6, 1920 in Providence, Rhode Island, the youngest of four children, to Peter and Mary Karolik. She married her loving husband George in 1940 and together they raised their three children in Long Beach: Gary Gardiner, Judy Von Arx (John) and Kathy Gardiner, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and nieces. Stephanie was preceded in death by her husband George.
We have many memories of her talents in cooking, sewing, knitting, crocheting and quilting. She was the official family haircutter, and even found time to do the neighbors hair.
The family wishes to thank her caregivers, Edwin and Judi.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O. Box 515, Northampton, MA 01061-0515 WWW.MACULAR.ORG
