Susie Jean Nance, age 67, of Bulls Gap, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at her home. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Susie Lee Dillard Dowdy; father, Eddie A. Dillard; and sister, Joyce. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Roger Nance; ten children; 38 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Sullivan and Brenda Allen, both of Cary, NC; and brother, Paul Dillard of Garner, NC. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Philippi Church. Rev Scott Bradley and Rev. Carroll Jarnagin will officiate. Interment will follow in Philippi Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are by Bulls Gap Funeral Home.
