To the Andrella Family,
My fondest memories will always be-the lady VI. She was so wonderful to me as teacher, vice-principal and then principal at another school. I could always count her to be upfront with me. My heart aches now as she was just the most effective and personable person that one could meet. She taught me as an administrator-the school is not the principal but it is the whole staff and students. And that she was! So down to earth and well rounded. She will be in my prayers always! To Tony, Little Tony and Gina and family-know she was an angel here on earth.

To: The Andrella Family,
Words can not even begin to say how much Mrs. Adrella helped me while I taught at St. John's. I missed your smile when I left. God allowed us to share his Angel for a while! Thank you for being a part of my life. May you rest in peace. Know that she is watching all of you from a GRAND SEAT!

I laid you to rest today Nonna. It was the hardest thing I've ever done, saying goodbye to you. I know nobody is perfect but you were as close to it, in my eyes at least, as a person can get. You were always there for me, no matter what no matter when. I know you still will be, even though I won't see you. I know you will be watching your great-grandsons grow up and any more that follow. I know I could never love you as much as you loved me, but you were my superwoman. I love you and miss you so much. And every time I hug my Judy I will think of you and know you are with me. See you on the other side.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Mrs. Andrella was a wonderful friend and help to me when I taught at St. John the Baptist de LaSalle. I know you will miss her beautiful smile and spirit. May God's peace surround and comfort you during this hour of sorrow.

Peace,
Carolyn Barnes

My memories of Auntie Vi are so very sweet. I remember bouncing on her foot as she chanted "Chap, Chap to Boston". She never said no even thought I must have been so very heavy on her foot. Every time I visited, phoned, or sent a card she always reminded me of the games we played and I would feel 4 years old all over again! I will miss you Vi and your memories will live on forever.

One hot summer day Vi and I decided to make lasagna for the family. We had first asked Nonna but she said that we could do it. We went out and bought the makings for the lasagna plus a bottle of Vino. As we prepared the dish we would put a shot of Vino in the sauce plus have one ourselves. By the time the we were done preparing it and the guests had arrived we were feeling no pain.

Love you and miss you always.

Go with God, Nonna. You will always be my American Grandmother. I love all of the time I got to spend with you and I love you.

My fondest memories of Aunt Vi are my visits to DC as a young boy seeing all of the sights and finishing the day at the ice cream parlor enjoying a Tootie Fruitie ice cream cone. Or the time she and Uncle Tony took me bowling, we had so much fun, she even let me stay up late that night. I will always remember her quick wit and smiling face. She will live in my heart forever.

As long as I live, I will never forget Mrs. Andrella. I don't think a school will have a better secretary than Mrs. Andrella. St. John's Baptist De La Salle could not have been more blessed. She was a dedicated and trusting woman that I will always adore.

I love you because you were the best Nonna my daughter could hope for, and you always treated me like family. My heart is broken because you're not here, but I envy you because you are now with Our Father. And for that, I rejoice for you. You will live forever in my heart...
