Willie R. Harrison Sr. 67 passed away at his residence in Houston, Texas. December 3, 2012. Willie was retired from the Houston Police Department with 32 years of dedicated service. He was a proud veteran serving in the United States Army 9th infantry division. While serving in Vietnam, he earned and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Metals. He was a 32 nd Mason, serving as Past Master of Gus A. Brandt Lodge. Willie was also a member of the Arabia Shrine. Survived by his beloved wife, Judy Harrison; son, Willie R. Harrison Jr. and wife Melissa: brother, Lloyd P. Harrison: Friend and HPD partner Rod McKenzie; Brother in-law, Joe Martinez and wife Annell, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, December 10, 2012 from 5-8 PM, in the Advantage Howard Glendale Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 9:15 AM in the same chapel. Pall Bearers will be , Michael Martinez, Joel Brummett, Charlie Bullard, Donovan Sprouse, Rod McKenzie, Wayne Atkinson,. Honorary Pall Bearers are, Jimmy Summers, Roy McDonald, Alvie Estes, Joe Martinez, and Dee Williams. Interment to follow in the Houston National Cemetery with full Houston Police Honors.
