John, Martine and Family, Dee and Jolette and Family.

What a wonderful thing, that Uncle Alden was with us as long as he was, He was such a treasure in our family. I can still hear him playing the "Chattanooga Shoe Shine Boy" some of my earliest memories are of his big booming voice, I loved to hear him sing, and he always told some of the most interesting stories and jokes. I had a special relationship with him he always called me Meggsie. I loved my special nickname because he gave it
to me. I had my special name for him too. I was the only one allowed to call him Auldy, the way I did, kind of like Dad and RAlfffffh. The trip he took us girls on when we were 17 me, Liz 14 and Dee 15 in that Volkswagon has always been one of my best memories. We certainly knew how to harrass him and some how he put up with us, What a brave man he was.

I loved He and your Mom dearly and was as close to them over the years as I was to my own parents, They were often like our own parents, I don't think we ever thought of them in any other way.

I am happy to have known such a Valiant Warrior in Gods Army, He made a lasting impression on my life, I will miss him, but know that he is now setting with Heavenly Father and probably telling him a joke or a story and I can just see God slapping his knee and laughing along with The Whitt Girls and Boys and My Dad. Can you imagine what a homecomming, that must have been last Saturday morning, when his ship arrived on that shore, to be welcomed by all those who had gone before him. Wow what a celebration they must be having. I know that they will always be here with us in Spirit but to once again to be able to hug their loved one and to know that he can now feel they're wormth,

Love you. You are in my Prayers. Marg.

I like to think back of the days of my youth spending the summers at Aunt Fannie and Uncle Alden's farm in Michigan. It was always such a great place. Years later after moving to Tennessee, I would often see them when they would visit John and Martene.
Such great people. A generation has moved on with time. But the time here was the best. My sincere condolences to the entire family. And I look to the day I will see them both in heaven.

I worked with Alden as an OJT student at the bank. I have so many fond memories of him and his stories. He tried to pretend like he was all tough and grisely but I remember him being a big marshmellow. He will be missed by all who knew him but Heaven sure picked up a great one.

I loved Uncle Alden AND Aunt Fanny. Uncle Alden treated us like we were his blood kin. Always warm and jolly and I have always been too far away to visit. I wish I had visited them both now. I guess we always expect the ones we love to be around forever. He will still be missed so much.
