Brian Jared "Petey" Peters, 23, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on August 31, 2013. He was born on March 26, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was a graduate of Coronado High School, Class of 2008, where he developed a love of lacrosse, which he continued to play in college. Jared graduated from the University of Mississippi in May of 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing. While in college he made lasting friendships, coached a youth lacrosse team, and was part of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He was an amazing athlete who was skilled, motivated and was as influential on the field as he was off of it. He was a leader, an adventurer, courageous, loving and intelligent. He could always be found with a smile on his face, and it has been said that his presence lit up any room he entered. Jared enjoyed traveling the world, playing his guitar and spending time with family and friends. He was an inspiration to everyone he met, and the world is a better place for having had him in it.
He is survived by his mother, Dava Harelik Peters, and father, James F. Peters, as well as two older brothers, Brandon and Steven Peters.
