October 12, 1930 - June 20, 2014
In loving memory of my husband, our dad, grandpa and great grandpa:
Carl R. Lundstrom who went to heaven, Friday, June 20, 2014.
He joins his mother and father Angle and Carl L. Lundstrom, baby brother Myron and son-in-law Richard Cerro.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Lorene Lundstrom, daughters Sandy Cerro, Deanna (Steve) Westlake, and son David Lundstrom. He was Grandpappy to four grandchildren who adored him ~ Courtney (Yasha Saber) Cerro, Tyler (Allie) Cerro, Aaron (Elizabeth) Westlake and Marissa Westlake and two great granddaughters Mercedes and Ashlynn Saber.
Carl moved to California from Kansas in 1951 to serve our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was later employed for over thirty years for Pacific Bell.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Shasta Dam Dandies Square Dance Club.
Carl was a well liked and respected man of integrity with a jolly sense of humor. Whenever he was asked how he was feeling the reply was, "Mean, onery, fat and sassy." Dad didn't hesitate to offer wise counsel or assist anyone who needed help in any way.
Our family feels abundantly blessed to have had Pops in our lives for so long.
A Celebration of Carl's life will be held at McDonald's Chapel,
located at 1275 Continental St., Redding, on Thursday, June 26 at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or to a
charity of your choice
.
NOW HE CAN SEE RAINBOWS!
