Cynthia Mary George Hunt, 58, of Savannah, died Friday, October 12, 2012 at her residence, after a short illness. She was born in Savannah, Ga., and was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Hunt, and her mother, Mary Shumans George. She was a graduate of H.V. Jenkins High School, Class of 1971, and Memorial Medical Health University where she received her Degree as a Radiologist Technologist. She was retired from Lexington Memorial Hospital, in Columbia, S.C., where she served as a Radiologist Technologist. She was a member of St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church in Savannah, Ga. Cynthia loved animals, especially her dogs Little Bit and Sugar. She is survived by her father, Nicholas Frank George of Savannah, Ga.; Aunt, Aspasia Simon of Savannah, Ga., Aunt, Pat George of Savannah, Ga., Uncle, Bobby (Phyllis) Shumans of Leesburg, Fl., Aunt, Janice (Bobby) Towson of Gainesville, Ga., and many cousins. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday at Fairhaven Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Trisagion Service: 7 p.m Monday in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church, with Father Vasile Mihai officiating, assisted by Father John Caparisos. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Cynthia and I worked together at LMC years ago but lost touch, I am sad to hear of her passing. My sympathies to Mr. George as well as prayers for peace and strength now and always.
