CARROLL, Daniel John "Dan" – Retired Fire Fighter with 30 years of service with Peterborough Fire Department. Skilled carpenter and outdoorsman. – Peacefully, with his family at his side, on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at PRHC Palliative Care, in his 58th year. Dan was the beloved husband of the late Susan Carroll (nee Conroy) for 35 years. Loving father of Jessica Carroll (Sean Sullivan), Laura Carroll and Emily Carroll (Sean Huycke). Dear Grandpa of Kasey Sue, Theresa, Brandon and Grace. Brother of Joanne Carroll (Brian Seabrooke), Elaine (Sam Peters), Rick (Jan) and the late Wayne, Bob (Anne) and Kathy Seabrooke. Dan will be remembered by many relatives and friends. Visiting will be held at the KAYE FUNERAL HOME 'MEMORIAL CHAPEL', 539 George Street North on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 3:00 – 5:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 859 Barnardo Ave, on Thursday, May 9, at 10:30 am. Father Bill Moloney officiating. Donations to Camp Northern Lights, a place that Dan and Fr. Bill helped build to pass on the love of the great outdoors to younger generations, would be appreciated. sorry to hear of dan passing had not hear from him as I always do so I called a round and found it on this site wish I was there dan and I were good friends from age 6 thinking of him getting his first canoe and knowing him and I did the first long weekend trips from chamong lake into peterbroug and groups we took on many trips god bless him and fam if u do not have the pome paddler I have a copy dan gave me ty god bless missing him so Greg Smyth 1 613 332 4558

Dan is a true friend. We always enjoyed his company and his constant jokes. His love for the outdoors sent us on many memorable adventures both in the bush and on the water. Dan was a great dad, husband, and friend. We miss him.
