Darrell Roy Glasscock 74, passed away Saturday February 6, 2010 from complications of
Alzheimer's.

Darrell was born on January 18, 1936, at Fort Peck Montana, to Mary Irene Seeley
and Roy Dennis Glasscock. His family moved to Glendive, Montana where he attended school and graduated from Dawson County High. He graduated from Rocky Mountain College Summa Cum Laude and earned his Master's Degree in Social Work from Denver University. He spent many years in family services in La Crosse Wisconsin, St Paul, Minnesota, Lewiston, Idaho and then worked for the Casey Family Program in Helena from 1975 - 1993. Following retirement from Casey he worked for Tim Carney as a cabinet builder.

Darrell was a man of many talents. He enjoyed tennis, camping, golf, fishing, running, cabinetmaking and genealogy. He was a member of the Helena symphony Chorale and St Paul's United Methodist Church Chancel Choir.

Darrell married Donna Hultberg in 1956 and raised four daughters. They divorced in 1981.
In 1984 Darrell married Beverly M Rhodes.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wilford; sister, Pearl Ferguson and step grandson Aaron Porch.

Survivors include his wife Beverly Rhodes; sister, Beverly (Jerry) Wester of Billings, sister, Irene (Cliff) Carpenter, of Seattle WA; four daughters, Penny (Mark) Smith of Libby, MT, Amy
Glasscock of Helena, MT, Tamera (John) Berg and Kimberly Byam of Robbinsdale, MN; three grandchildren, Emily and Sam Harris of Helena, MT and Andrew Smith of Libby, MT; five stepchildren, Cheryl (Ken) Stensrud of Twin Bridges, Roger (Sherri) Porch of Kalispell Mt,
Kim (Ken) Robbins of Helena, Dan (Julie) Porch of Florence, Bruce (Shelley) Porch of
Missoula. Fourteen step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive him.

A memorial service celebrating Darrell's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 10th at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. A reception will be held in the social center of the church immediately following the memorial service. Memorials in Darrell's name are suggested to St. Paul's United Methodist Church Building Fund 512 Logan Helena, MT 59601, Intermountain Children's Home 500 S. Lamborn Helena MT 59601 or to Hospice of St. Peter's 2475 Broadway St. Helena, MT 59601.
