Eunice Mae Norrris, 93, of Fort Smith went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 17, 2014 in Fort Smith. She was born January 4, 1921 in Greenwood, AR to Edward and Grace (Elmore) Gross. She was a lifelong Christian and member of Wheeler Church of Christ in Fort Smith. After graduating from Mansfield High School she owned and operated Sonja Lee’s Beauty Shop in Fort Smith for many years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Melvin Norris; daughter and son-in-law Eldon and Vonda Thompson of Greenwood; her parents, Edward and Grace Gross of Mansfield; sister and brother-in-law, William and Geraldine Nipp of Greenwood; sister and brother-in-law, Ernest and Lora Pigg of Fort Smith; and brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Ruby Gross of Greenwood. She is survived by two daughters, Janice Rickman of Fort Smith and Sondra Wiggins and her husband Bill, of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren, Jeff Thompson of Greenwood, Brad Rickman of Fort Smith, Bland and Sarah McCall of Fort Smith, Zack and Wendy Wiggins of Huntsville, Jonathan and Jennifer Foster of Conway, Dewayne and Greta Pryor of Fort Smith, and Theodore and Erin Reinker of Centerton; one brother, Sidney Gross and his wife Hughlene of Richardson, TX; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, as well as nephews, nieces, loved ones and friends. Memorial Service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 22, 2014, in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with private burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
