Grace Bivens 79, of South Portsmouth, Kentucky died at her residence Tuesday, July 5, 2011. Mrs. Bivens was born on July 17, 1931, in Vanceburg, the daughter of the late Clyde and Florence McGinnis Cottingham. She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie Ray Bivens he died December 8, 1980.
She is survived by, (2) sons, Jeff and wife Rhonda Bivens of South Shore, KY, Mike Bivens of Portsmouth, OH. (3) daughters,
Vicki and husband Jarrel Thayer of Valerico, Fl. Kay Bivens of South Shore, KY. Connie and husband Andy Reinhardt of Portsmouth, OH. (15) grandchildren, Lisa Gazdik, Eric Thayer, Mary Beth Bivens, Kayla Bivens, Nicole Bivens, Jennifer Bivens, Courtney Bivens, Amanda Steele, Shawn Dyer, Jonathan Mineer, Billy Reinhardt, Dillon Reinhardt, Michelle Bivens, Katlyn Bivens, Michael Bivens, and (9) great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bivens, was preceded in death by (1) daughter, Patricia Ann Armstrong, (5) brothers, William Cottingham, June Cottingham, Eugene Cottingham, John Cottingham, and Joe Hackworth. (3) sisters, Betty Rickett, Ina Colegrove, and Thelma Tolle.
Services for Mrs. Bivens will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at Dickerson Funeral Home with Brother Arthur Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Waring Cemetery at Garrison, Kentucky.
