Anderkin, Jimmy Lee, 48, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, June 1st, at his home.
He was a graduate of Moore High School “82”. He enjoyed fishing, being known as “Poppy” by his grandchildren, and playing golf was his passion.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy W. Anderkin, and his grandparents, Anne and Elmer Anderkin.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 11 years, the former Robin Grass; a step-daughter, Samantha Harris (Brian); a step-son, Joseph Mills; and his grandchildren, James and Olivia; his mother, Frieda Harp (Don); a sister, Renee Thomas (Mark;) and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be at 7pm on Monday, June 4th, at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8519 Preston Highway. Visitation will be on Monday from 10am until the time of service.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful people of Hosparus for the care and assistance they provided.

I had the honor of being Jimmy's neighbor. I have never met a man with such a giving heart. He was so full of energy and was a busy body. He'd always offer to help anyone anyway that he could. We should all take notes on the way he cared about other people. My heart goes out to the family on their loss. He was truly a gift.
