I worked at Frank as a para and Karen was always so nice and helpful to me. She was great with her students and I know they loved her. I never thought she would lose this battle as she was always couragous and had such a wonderful positve attitude every day. To go through this disease and come in everyday to teach her students with a smile on her face and a great sense of humor was a great inspiration to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry for your family's loss. I had Mrs. Ash for a third grade teacher years ago. She was an amazing and caring person who really made an impact on her students, and I will never forget all of the times I saw her smiling face as I passed her in the hallways at Frank. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I had Mrs. Ash in fourth grade at Frank. She was the best teacher ever. She would always tell me to stop making stuff from mechanical pencils, but ended up creating an award for making them at the end of the year. I am sorry for your loss. She will be very missed.

Mark, Brandon and Emily,
I still have a clear memory of when Brandon started studying guitar with me. Karen and Emily would usually sit in the room while we had the lesson. Brandon's feet barely touched the floor and Emily would sit on the floor playing with toys. That memory seems like only yesterday. Karen was always at all the lessons and concerts. It was obvious she was there for her kids. It was obvious she was a great mom. Deepest sympathy for your family.
