Mrs. Maude M. Boozer, 91, departed from this life on Sunday, February 7, 2010, at Moses Cone Hospital, in Greensboro.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 11, 2010, at Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian, with Pastor Mike Catoe officiating.
Born in Mecklenburg County, to the late William and Ruth Manus, Mrs. Boozer was a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. She enjoyed working in the yard, cooking and was a wonderful storyteller. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boozer was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Henry Newton Boozer; sister, Elizabeth Barnes; and her brother, Robert Manus.
Wednesday evening at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons; Don Boozer and wife Judy of The Villages, FL and Carroll Boozer and wife Brenda of High Point; grandchildren, Laura Guld and husband Tony, Nathan Boozer, and Kimberly Edwards and husband Dale; great-grandchildren, Michael, Sami, Josh, Tate, and Grant; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Wednesday evening at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel.
