Our heartfelt sympathy to Monica's family! We were saddened to hear of her passing. My husband and I shop at Trig's in Rhinelander quite often, and just wanted the family to know what a joy Monica brought to so many who didn't know her personally, but looked forward to her smile, and pleasant conversation! Her work was done here, and Heaven has another special soul to welcome! Monica will be missed by many people whose lives she touched...God Bless!!

Just reading all these entries its easy to see how Monica touched many lives. I had only one class with Monica throughout high school and mostly saw her in the hall. You couldn't miss the one person you knew would be smiling when you passed by, they say just smiling at one person can change their day and the day of everyone they see afterwards. Think how many people who may have been having a bad day or were sad had their day turned around by Monica. She was all around a good example, she worked hard, gave her all, and treated everyone as a friend. There are not many people in the world like Monica. I think the world would be a better place if more people lived as Monica lived.

My name is Veronika which rhymes with Monica and EVERY time I came into Trig's and I saw Monica she would say, "hey, Beronika (she would change the V to B to be funny) and I would have to say, "hey, Monica" just to hear the rhyming of our names. She would give me a hug and always ask about my family. Monica was SOOOO proud of her Olympic medals she earned and she would be beaming with pride as she talked about her accomplishments! Monica was an "icon" of Trig's and it will not be the same without her. Trig's can be proud to have employed such a special, special person. My heartfelt sympathy to the entire Bartishofski family. Monica touched many lives.

At Trig's. Monica always greeted me by shouting my name, grinning a huge smile. I am so blessed to have known such a beautiful person and took so much pride in her job and doing for people. God now has a angle with him.

Our hearts are breaking in the loss of such a beautiful person, and we hope that you, Tony, Todd and family, find comfort in all the wonderful memories you have of Monica. She truly loved everyone and was a ray of sunshine to all she met. Even though we've moved from Virgin Lake, we would continue to see Monica at Triggs. Greeting us with a hug and smile, we would catch up on our families. She was sure proud of hers, and she would always want to hear about ours. Although we cannot be there for her service, our thoughts are with you and our prayers are for your healing. Our deepest sympathy.

Dear Tony, Todd and family,
I am so sorry about the loss of Monica. She was such a wonderful person and we will all miss her so much. When I was raising my nieces, Cory and Chrissy they were good friends with Monica. She was like another niece to me too. I would be in Trig's and she could be all the way across the store and I would hear her yell, "Hi Auntie"!! I will miss that so much. I really loved that kid. The only comfort at this time is to know that she is back in the arms of her loving Mom Sandy. We would talk often about how much she missed her and she still never gave up. What a beautiful lesson for us all. Take care and God Bless you all.

I am so very saddened by the loss of Monica. I have known her since the 3rd grade when we attended Crescent together and for all the school years after that. I always looked forward to talking to her at Trig's she was one of the kindest and gentle spirits I have ever known. I guess God needed another angel. Monica rest in peace with your mom and know that I will never forget you. I love you lots!

Dear Monica's family,

I'm so sorry to hear about the tragic news about Monica. I had the privilege to work side by side with Monica back in 2004- 2005 at Trig's. She will always be known as the woman with the bubbly personality and the infectious smile that made everyone's day a little brighter. With the everlasting love that she had graciously imprinted in our hearts, she will be missed and loved forever. Rest in peace my friend.

I was Monica's soccer coach, probably Junior High years? It has been great to see her at Trig's over the years. We always had a chat and shared a smile. I will remember her with affection and admiration. She clearly had a great family to produce such a fine daughter.

I received my last hug from an angel last week at Trig's. Monica always greeted me by shouting my name, grinning a huge smile, and coming up to hug me. I am so blessed to have had such a beautiful person in my life who taught me to hug instead of just smile. My heart aches for her family, but I know her mom is holding her in her arms during such a sad time. God Bless.

To Monica's Dad: Thank you for carrying out God's plan by raising such a wonderful daughter. You and her mother must have been great examples to teach her kindness and concern for others. I imagine it was you, along with her brother and other family members, who showed her by example what it's like to be part of a loving family who has fun together.

To all of her family, friends, neighbors, teachers, co-workers, plus Steve Heise and the management team at Trig's, as well as the hundreds of others in our community, thanks for recognizing what a gift we all had in knowing Monica. Let's try to keep the example she gave us burning in our hearts too.

Just a few weeks ago, Monica was working at Trig's one evening when it was near 30 below zero and carts weren't allowed in the parking lot. With a smile on her face and talking a mile a minute, she helped me outside with all my groceries. That was just typical Monica. Her smiling face and kind heart will be greatly missed. With prayers and condolences to her family,

I left Rhinelander many years ago, but one thing I could always count on was seeing Monica at Trig's when I come back to visit. I saw that huge smile over Christmas for the last time and I will remember it. RIP, Monica, and peace to the Bartishofski's. I sure hope Trig's puts up a wonderful memorial for her that I can see at my next visit.

I had the pleasure of working with Monica for more than eight years. The past few days so many customers and fellow employees of Trig's have shared tears and conversation about how much they enjoyed Monica's happy welcoming personality. All have said Trig's will not be the same. She was our Goodwill Ambassador for sure. Her bond with her family, the love they all have for each other, was often mentioned in her work day. She would light up even brighter when talking about time with them. And she had so much pride in her medals won in her events. I'm so glad Monica came into my life.

I am so sad to hear about Monica, she was simply one of God's best ambassador's on how to live life. That constant smile, friendly personality, so welcoming. She always was quick to ask about your family and listened. I only remember once her sadness and heavy heart when her Mom, Sandra, died. I know they are reunited and laughing and hugging once again! You will be missed by so many Monica, but you taught us about caring, and living life well. God's Blessings are with you now forever! Peace. My sympathy to your loving family and many friends.

Because, Monica loved life, and enjoyed the little things that gives us enjoyment, family and friends! I know Monica is laughing right now with her mother, Sandra. Monica, you tricked us all. By making us feel like we were the "special person," every time She asked,"how we were doing, or how's the family etc."
Always giving pep talks, hugs, laughs, her style of advice, and her glass is half full outlook on life and always seeing the bright side talk.
She sure was a pleasure to know. she will be sadly missed but not forgotten.
Your family can be very proud of the loving, caring, great person you had become. And they can take great comfort in knowing how important each and everyone of them were to you . She talked often about her Dad and Brother and her Nieces, of how she enjoyed you all. And missed her Mom.
It's a shame and also bittersweet that the," Biggest Angel In Town",left us on Valentines Day, because nobody had a bigger heart than Monica.
Wishing your Family, Peace, Fond Memories, and not sadness, But Gladness and Joy for having Monica touch all our lives.

To have known Monica, was to have known an angel on earth. When my grandmother became ill, she never missed a hug. And how she remembered all my family members' names, I will never know. We first met Monica at Virgin Lake where she'd help Dad Tony when he plowed our drive or accompany Mom Sandy and I on our walks to pick blackberries or just enjoy the countryside. She really shone, though, in her job at Trigs. Like everyone has said, she never forgot a name or failed to ask how our spouse was doing. And SMILE? It was straight from the heart. She will be missed very much. Say 'hi' to Sandy, Monica. Two taken way too early.

Monica did not know my name, but, as one of the thousands of people she served at Trigs, you knew she was a gift of God's grace, to be an example to all of us! Her unending smile and humility are cherished. Maybe as a tribute to Monica, we can all try to be more like her-the love she shared with strangers when she did not need to. She is our Angel to teach us all. As a family you provided her with the Love she knew to share-she shined and still is, for all of us to be more like her, would give her life here even more purpose! My deepest sympathy to all that are so close to her.

Monica and I worked together at Trig's for many years. In all of that time I never saw her in a negative mood. What I saw was a very sweet, kind, and genuinely caring person. She always made my day a little happier. After I no longer worked with her she could still make my day. I was always happy to see her and talk to her, and she never failed to greet my husband when she saw him, asked how I was doing, and told him to tell me "Hi". We are blessed to have known her and are going to miss having her in our lives. God bless her family......You can be so proud of Monica. She was VERY SPECIAL and touched so many lives.

I am so sorry to hear of Monica's passing. Monica was such a wonderful lady. A time never passed that she won't go out of her way to say a loving 'Heya trouble' when we would see each other at Trigs or anywhere! She always asked about my family and daughters with genuine interest. She had such a big heart! We were in school together and also went through religious ed together. She always radiated happiness and a love for life. I don't think I ever saw Monica without a grin:)I am blessed to have known you Monica! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you who shared in Monica's life and will miss her joyful presence. Special prayers go out for her father Tony and brother Bart. May you find peace in your days ahead.

Tony and Todd, your family were our nearest neighbors when we first moved to Wisconsin almost 25 years ago. My daughter Ellen remembers feeling honored that Monica (who was 7 years older than our oldest son) would come over, and also invite our kids over, to swim together. Nine years later, when we moved closer to town, we never lost that "neighbor connection" with Monica. She kept up with the lives of our kids and grandkids and always told me "I can't believe your kids are growing like a weed". She loved telling me all about her nieces Zoe and Josie as she walked me out of the store with my groceries. She was so excited about our youngest son, Gabe, turning 8 so that he could participate in Special Olympics. He turns 8 in two weeks. I will greatly miss having Monica be a part of that chapter in our lives.

Monica was a true blessing to my daughter Hannah. They always would compare medals and support each other. We will all miss Monica's positive attitude and also the confidence that she shared with other team mates on Special Olympics.

What an impact Monica made during her short time on this earth.
If only everyone could accomplish this much, and all it took was a
big smile & friendly greetings !! May we all learn from her example.

I worked with Monica at Trig's. She had a great sense of humor. We had a running joke about who was working and who was goofing off. Even after I left Trig's, when I would go back in, we fell right back into our joke. She was so sweet and caring. She will be greatly missed

It is very plain to see by reading all of these entries that Monica touched the lives of many people and will be sadly misses by everyone who knew her. She had such a kind spirit, friendly smile, positive attitude, endless energy and the list goes on. Trigs will definitely be missing one of their best employees. I will miss her kind nature and smiling face the most. My condolences to Monica's family, you along with the rest of Rhinelander will be missing a very special person.

I've worked at Trigs in Rhinelander for a little over 2 years. Everyday I came into work she waved at me, smiled, and said "Hey there, Trouble". I'm going to miss having her come in bearing her latest medal from the special Olympics. She was so proud and confident in everything she did. She knew she was the "best!" closing bagger, she got everything done and I always counted on her to be a role model for all the others. I can't even begin to explain how much each and every person here Trigs will truly miss her, it just won't be the same anymore. Rest in peace Miss Monica, your sprit will remain here at Trigs for a long while.

My son, Derek, worked with Monica at Trig's--I heard the news from him tonight. She was always wearing that sweet smile and saying hi to everyone who came in the store, a true example to all of us. That big smile will be missed by all. Sherry and Derek Mathison

We just heard about Monica this evening. We read all the condolences in her guest book. Many friends remembered Monica's smile and positive outlook. I can go back further then Monica's days at Trigs. When there was an unpleasant situation at RHS, I would step out of the office and seek Monica in the hall or cafeteria or classroom. Her big smile and hug would greet me with "Hey, Mr Young, how you doing?" A smile would come to my face, we would talk, and I then knew how lucky it was to know her. We are not in Rhinelander right now; therefore, we will not be at her funeral. But Monica will always be remembered. Our very sincere condolences to Monica's family and friends.

Monica was all of Rhinelander's friend. We loved her with all our heart and looked forward to seeing her when she worked. The last time I saw her, it was at Trig's floral and she gave me the biggest hug. Anna is just devastated about this as she was her special friend. She was always inviting Anna to be in the Special Olympics for adults and offering to give her a ride. Chris and I will be attending her funeral and definately contributing to Special Olympics in her name.

Trig's and the world will not shine as brightly without Monica's smile and bubbly personality.
May you rest safely in our Saviors arms and smile down on us from above.
Thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time.

I have known Monica and her family for over 25 years. She was always such a wonderful person to be around, and a great friend. I will truly miss her teasing, and family updates she would give me at Trig's, when I would wait in the longest line just to get a chance to talk to her.

She has touched so many peoples lives with her big heart. I am so sorry to Tony, Todd, and the rest of her family.
