Morgan,
I think of you often and all the wonderful times we spent, most of all how much I miss talking, joking and laughing with you. I am so thankful that Myra gave me the items that were so much apart of your life so that I might stay close and connected in my heart. What a joy! I know that being with LaRona and your brother Marvin will give you much comfort. I look forward to the day when we can laugh together again.
Love you my Brother,
James

April 1, 2013
It has taken me over a year to gather my thoughts to write a memorial message. My heart will always cherish the time that God allowed Morgan's presence in my life. And it is extremely difficult to accept that he is no longer present in this life. It is a daily struggle.
There are no words to express the gratitude that Morgan and I experienced and will forever feel in our hearts..... to our families, friends, loved ones, and pastor Dr. Naida Parsons, who reached out in so many ways to love and support us. We are so grateful to Morgan's physician, Dr. Nicholas Volgelzane and staff for their dedication and attentiveness to Morgan's medical care. We are thankful to Nathan Aldelson Hospice and Palm's Mortuary staff for their kindness. We would like to acknowledge The VA Medical Center staff ,and Oncology Nursing Society for kindness and support. Morgan's Flamingo family held us up so many times when we were no longer able to stand. The out pouring of love shown by those who worked with Morgan is cherished in the core of my heart. Morgan's sister, brothers, brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and our sons were constantly by our side during his most difficult transition from this life to be with our heavenly father.
The outpouring of prayers from everyone, to sustain us will never be forgotten. There are far too many individuals to mention ,who have supported us, and please know that we are eternally grateful.
We witnessed how bravely Morgan fought and endured much to remain present with us for as long as he could. God is merciful and he finally said well done my son...your suffering, your pain and work is done. You are absent from that broken, earthly body and present in a new body with your Lord. You are rejoicing in heaven with our daughter, LaRona and her best friend Jennifer, your brother, mom and dad. Your humor and your smile illuminates another light in heaven.
Rest in Peace my beloved husband,
Your memory is cherished,we will see you again in heaven.
With My Love,
Myra

It has been one year since you left and I miss you so much! I really miss our early Sunday morning calls to keep up with each other. Somehow I find joy and relief in knowing you are free of pain and in a better place.
I love you my brother and I will always keep our memories we shared for so many years deep in my heart. You will be one of the seven people I look forward to seeing in Heaven.
Love you Brother.

Dear Morgan,
When you passed I felt like I never knew you before. I regret all the time I let go by without knowing you as well as I would have liked. But, I must say what an honor it is to be named after a man as presumptious as you. I will carry you're name with dignity and show the world how loving a MORGAN can be. You will be forever gone, but never forgotten, or gone from my heart. I love you more than words could ever say... to one Morgan from another.

I thought of you with love today, But that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, And days before that too. I think of you in silence, We often speak your name; All we have are memories And your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake With which we'll never part. God has you in his keeping; We have you in our heart.

Marvin Alston Sr.
We can never prepare ourselves for the loss of someone close. The ones who give us love and joy are whom we miss the most. Your purpose here was fulfilled, no more this earth to roam. God deemed it time for your reward, and gladly called you home. Its hard for me right now, to accept the fact you're gone. But with the joyous memories of you, I'll never be alone. Gone but not forgotten, you ran your race and won, And life for you in a far better place has only just begun.

Morgan you were an excellent host when my hubby Chet and I visited your casino. Morgan you and Myra have been such wonderful Christian friends who shared many happy moments as family in your home. The greatest time was when Chet and I repeated our 30th wedding vows in your home with our son being part of the ceremony. Chris loved his God parents.

Myra, your post made me think of my own situation with my husband. We were together 18 years and raised 6 children before his death. Any years of a happy marriage is a blessing. After losing a close loved one it is natural to wonder about the meaning of death. I have found great comfort from bible scriptures. When you get a chance, I encourage you to read what the bible says at Ezekiel 18:4, and Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10. I think you'll enjoy what you find there.
