Otto "Ottsie" John Ruppel, age 95, of Sheboygan, went home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 after a brief stay at St. Nicholas Hospital.

In addition to his wife, Bernice, he was preceded in death by one brother, Edward and five sisters, Edna, Alma, Frieda, Elva, and Mary.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 13th & Lincoln Ave., Sheboygan, WI. Rev. Alan Kretschmar, Pastor, will officiate. To Otto's family -

I was so sad to read of his passing.

Unfortunately I never was fortunate enough to meet any of you, but I have very fond memories of him.

I was a single Mom with two young sons in the late 60's - I ended up renting the apartment on Martin Avenue, that apparently he and Bernice had previously lived in.

I remember that he was very kind to my boys.

Over the years we always exchanged Christmas cards and I would keep him informed about my sons and grandsons. They are all baseball players and fans, & I knew he enjoyed that.

In the most recent years I could see that someone was assisting him to send the card. THANK YOU for that!

My prayers and thoughts are with all of you.
