Pamela S. Russell, age 63, of Nebo, NC, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Pam was an unselfish woman and put everyone else's needs before her own.
She was born April 15, 1947 in Vallejo, CA to Josephine Galatioto Smith of Sanford, FL and to the late Charles Smith. Pam retired from Sun Trust Bank. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Park Pals and she was the unofficial president of thrift shopping.
In addition to her mother, left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, David Russell of the home; two sons, Jim Lee and wife, Wendy of Palm Coast, FL and Robert Russell and wife, Stephanie of Oakland, TN; one daughter, Denise Albaladejo of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren, Sharon, Jason, Kevin, Robert, Julia and Emma; one great-grandson, Marcus; her cousin, Maria Crescenti; and unlimited special friends. Also surviving is her beloved dog, Maggie, who was her best friend.
Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
