While I only met my Uncle as an adult, I was finally able to see in person the sense of humor I had only heard about. My mom always sent joke books to him for Christmas. I had the pleasure of spending a day with Dick, Debbi and Ovie in the Christmas lit up town in Disney. That was probably one of the last times I saw him.

We will miss Dick and his wonderful sense of humor. No one else would have let me take off his Seminole T shirt in front of a full Conway Cafe restaurant and replace it with a Gator shirt while a few Gator fans sang the fight song. Your smile then was infectious and will certainly be missed. Ovie: we miss both of you much and our prayers are with you.

We have enjoyed the many years that we shared with Dick and Ovie eating Breakfast.
Dick had that smile that we see now in his obituary, and you couldn't help but wonder what Dick was about to do.
If you knew Dick and Ovie, you were blessed. They went well together !
Dick will always be remembered by us. Dick touched so many lives, and especially ours.
Unfortunately, we are leaving our house on Saturday (27th) at 7:00 a.m. and going to Ft. Lauderdale, and we're going on a 26 day Transatlantic Cruise to Europe. So we won't be able to attend his Memorial.
Ovie, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time, and in the days and months to come, as you Mourn the loss of Dick.
Love and Hugs,
Barbara and Durrell
