Rina Allegro, age 90, of Old Bridge, died January 4, 2010 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. Born in London, England, she lived in Toms River, before moving to Old Bridge 4 years ago.
Mrs. Allegro was predeceased by her husband, Anthony, in 2000, and her siblings: her brothers, Pierino Dondi and Arturo Dondi, and her sisters, Isoletta Grossman, Yolanda Dondi, Luisa Clark, and Eva Squeri. She is survived by: her daughter and son in law, Pauline & Luigi D'Alterio, and her son and daughter in law, Peter & Maryann Allegro; her grandchildren: Christopher & his wife, Michelle D'Alterio, Laura & her husband, Tom Schreck, Michael & his wife, Lilliana D'Alterio, David D'Alterio, Anthony & his wife, Nicole Allegro, and Andrew & his wife, Kristin Allegro; and her great grandchildren: Christian, Cameron, Malia, Connor, Ryan, Anthony, Nicholas, Salvatore, and Ava.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 8, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 9, 2009 at 10 AM at Most Holy Redeemer RC Church, Old Bridge, NJ. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of Flowers, donations to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
