Robert Sherman Archer. Bob was a father, husband and grandfather to Elisia, Kathy and Edward. He served in the navy, managed remote stations for early bird satellite warning system, retired as a Sr. Engineer from Hughes Aircraft, he help build a large sculpture the city installed at its pier, volunteered at an art studio, and served as a volunteer grandfather to foster children at San Pasqual Academy. He died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 12. His death was a surprise and shock to all who knew him. He will be sorely missed.

The outpouring of grief which accompanied this shocking news of Bob's untimely death reminded me of the happy and sad times we shared over the past 70 years. Bob was a good friend and brother and I am comforted only in knowing that I knew him when. He was a joy to know. Love Ed
