Ruth Madonna Saya, 86, of East Syracuse passed away Friday at her home with her family by her side. A life resident of the Syracuse area, Ruth was a communicant of St. Matthew's Church. She retired from WSYR then worked for BJ's Wholesale for 10 years. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Saya, 1993; son, Joseph Saya, 1996; granddaughter, Patricia Anne Saya, 2008; her parents, Michael and Louise Madonna; three brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Louise (Sal) Lamacchia of Syracuse and Josephine Saya of Pittsburgh; sons, Anthony M. (Diane) Saya of East Syracuse and Thomas P. (Roxanne) Saya of Liverpool; daughter-in-law, Paula Saya of Central Square; sister, Connie Benz of Syracuse; brother , Anthony (Rose) Madonna of Cortland; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:15 a.m. at FARONE & SON Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St Matthew's Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park St.
Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.

josie you lived on burnet ave correct we cleaned your aunts , i lived on upper butternut st .gosh trying to put a year to us hangin had to be 62 to 64 maybe , sheil lived around the corner went with larry dery etc . maybe i got the wrong josie you had real curley hair , i was skinny

I often thought of Ruth but life rushes by your mother and grandmother was a very sweet woman God has prepared a place for her with him as our faith tells us and I believe she is there with him.
