Selma C. Biggs, 80, of Leesville, LA., passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011
Mrs. Biggs was a member of First United Methodist Church in Leesville. Mrs. Biggs worked as a homemaker most of her life. Instead of a college degree she received her PHT (putting hubby through) medical school.
She was preceded in death by her Daughter: Catherine Diane Biggs; Parents: W.T. and Alma Copes; Sisters: Patsy Stout and Evelyn Patrick.
Mrs. Biggs is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Dr. Otis Biggs of Leesville; Son: William Henley Biggs of Cotton Valley, LA.; Daughter: Elizabeth "Beth" Berry and husband John A. Berry of Mandeville, LA.; Granddaughter: Virginia Selma Berry of Mandeville.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 28, 2011 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville. Funeral Service will be Monday August 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville. Brother Hank Hamilton will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
Memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Selma Biggs to First United Methodist Church of Leesville or Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries 2101 Hwy. 80 Haughton, LA 71037.
