Albert J. Luke, Jr. passed away on January 20, 2014. Beloved husband of Jewel S. Luke for the past 39 years. Beloved father of Albert J. Luke, III, Thomas J. Luke, (Karen) of Atlanta, GA., and Robert J. Luke of Los Angeles, CA. Grandfather of Alexa Luke. Stepfather of William G. Evans, Jr. (Colette) and Julie Evans Smith (Scott) of Picayune, MS. Age 77, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Jefferson for over 60 years. Mr. Luke was a 1954 graduate of Jesuit High School and 1958 graduate of Tulane University. He was the Owner and Founder of Statewide Enterprises, Incorporated. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 9:00 am. Interment in Lafayette #2 Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at www.tharpsontheimer.com. In lieu of flowers masses or donations to the St. Jude Children's Hospital preferred.
