It is with heavy hearts that the family announces that Arnold Kirzinger passed away peacefully at home with the love of his life by his side April 5, 2013 at the age of 82. He was born in Cudworth as the fifth child of Mary Lingel and George Kirzinger; husband to Angeline (ven der Buhs); father to Raymond (Rita), Bernadette (Gerard), Beverley (Andrew), Gloria (Ronald) and Arthur; grandfather to Ryan (Heather), Kristin (Aron), Michael, Kara (Juan), Brian, Melissa (Gary), Shawn (Loree), Greg (Janelle), Steven, Jillian and Zachery; great grandfather to Marie, Avery, Arnold and Eliana. Arnold was predeceased by siblings George, Ervin, Robert and Lawrence; surviving sibling Eleanor. Arnold farmed in the Cudworth area until 1987 when he commenced working for the RM of Hoodoo until his retirement in 1995. Arnold lived in Cudworth until 2011 when he and Angeline moved to Saskatoon where he resided at the time of his passing. Arnold had a mechanical mind and an intellectual curiosity. He could repair anything and if he couldn't find what he needed, he would make it himself. He had a supernatural ability to repurpose or invent things for him and Angeline around the house and farm. Arnold had a network of friends in Cudworth who will miss him greatly. He enjoyed scroll-sawing, wildlife, reading the news, curling and one-liners. Arnold was married to the love of his life, Angeline, for more than 59 years. Nothing brought a greater spark to his eye than when he was with Angeline. She was his sweetheart, his loving caregiver, his partner in everything and the mother of his children. They were best friends, who inspired each other and found tremendous joy just being together. Family was central to Arnold's life and with the addition of each child, son/daughter-in law, grandchild, and great grandchild his heart grew with love for each new member of the family. He will be remembered by his grandchildren as a gentle listener who smiled a lot and gave the best hugs. His family mourns the loss of his love and gentle kindness. He will be missed by all who knew him. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 503 Main St. Cudworth, SK. Please consider a donation to the St. Michael's Haven, Box 220 Cudworth, SK S0K 1B0 in lieu of flowers. Condolences may be sent from www.scharfsfuneralhome.ca. Arrangements entrusted to Scharf's Funeral Home (306) 955-1600.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.
