Benjamin Knowles Ricketson, 79, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. He was born in Augusta, GA and lived in Savannah since 1978. Ben was a graduate of Tulane University and honorably served in the U.S. Navy. He was a Real Estate Associate Broker and an active member of Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church.
Ben was preceded in death by wife, Olivia, and daughter, Cindy Keen. He is survived by one daughter, Joan Williams of Houston, TX, four grand children: Michelle Williams of Washington, Tyler Sanchez of Phoenix, AZ, Jordan and Brianna Williams of Houston, TX, and three great grand children. He is also survived by longtime companion, Phyllis Smith of Savannah, GA, her children and grandchildren.
Service will be held Saturday, April 19 at 2:00pm at Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at the Wilmington Island Methodist Church Memorial Garden. Reception following interment at WIPC. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to WIPC, 450 North Cromwell Rd, Savannah, GA 31410.
