Betty Jo Glidewell Arnold, 72, died in Abilene Tuesday evening, February 8, 2011. She was born in Marlin, Texas and resided in Denton, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mozelle Parson Nixon and Melvin Glidewell and a brother, Jimmy Nixon.

Survivors include three children, John Stacey Arnold of Abilene, Master Sergeant Michael Lee Arnold of El Paso, and Jana Jo Cook of Arlington; her partner, Joe Gonzales of Denton; sisters, Bobbie Evans and Sue Young; brother, Johnny Glidewell; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

My prayers go out to John, Mike, and Janna a long journey is now over. Betty Jo was one of my favorite Aunts when we were younger. She will always be in our hearts. Be strong, we love you.
