Michalczyk, Betty Lorraine (Zahn-Steinhoff) of Cudahy. Passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side on August 31, 2011 at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Edward M. Loving mother of Bonny (Joe) Krenz, Betsy (the late Leon) Ignasiak, The late Edward Steinhoff, Michael Michalczyk, Robert Steinhoff, Helen (the late Dave) Hendrix, Dianne (Tony) Caliva, the late Margaret, Susan (Marc) Connelly, Barry (Kathy) Steinhoff, Linda (Dave) Bieneiek, the late Daniel Steinhoff, Timothy (Kelly) Steinhoff, James Steinhoff and Mary (James) Nakielski. Loving and Proud grandmother to 38 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 43. Dear sister of Kenneth. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by sisters Geraldine Weissmueller and Dolores Brauch.
Mass of Christian Burial Friday September 9 at 11 AM at Divine Mercy - Marquette Av., 800 Marquette Av., South Milwaukee. Rev. Robert Betz celebant. Interment Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, at the Funeral Home, from 4 to 7 PM (Parish Vigil 7 PM) and Friday, at the Church, from 10 AM until time of Mass.
Betty retired from St. Luke's South Shore as an RN. She loved Girl Scouting for 15 years and was active in many church activities. Betty was a member of ALAnon for many years. Special Thank you to the Staff of Odyssey Hospice for their tender care of Betty.

My sister who was gone by the time I was born and we really didn't get to know each other until our parents died. Since then we shared many memories that I had forgotten but she hadn't. I will miss her and have already. We shared the same birth date only 20years apart. Good Bye Betty You will always be here.

Betty will be always remembered as the strong, intelligent, caring and loving woman that she was.
Her legacy is her love, warmth and values that are instilled in all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren which will be passed on to future generations and carried in our hearts as well!
