I am sorry for the families loss. From what I have been told, Carl was a great man who served his country and loved his family dearly. I was lucky enough to have seen how his family cherished him and was told great stories about what a extraordinary man he was. I hope that the family can now find some peace and comfort knowing that he is in God's company. My thoughts are with the family.
