Carmen Carl Costa, Sr., 91, of Lyncourt passed away Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital. A life resident of Syracuse, he was a communicant of St. Daniel's Church and a veteran WWII US Army Air Corp. Mr. Costa was founder of Carl's Auto Glass which has been in operation for 64 years. Predeceased by his brothers, Peter and Anthony; sisters, Rose Gualtieri and Mary Costa.
Survivors: His devoted and loving wife of 60 years, Cora Fiorito Costa; daughter, Mary Lou Costa of Lyncourt; sons, Joseph (Barbara) Costa of Liverpool and Carmen (Donna) Costa of Onondaga Hill; sister, Sarah Pontillo of Lyncourt; five grandchildren, Julie, Jennifer, Jodie, Trevor and Justin; one great-grandchild, Connor; several nieces and nephews; six step-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Vincent Gualtieri of Liverpool.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 8:15 a.m. at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in St. Daniel's Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park St. Contributions may be made to the Lyncourt Fire Department.
